I am very proud to present to you the official website of the Sacramento Police Officers Association (SPOA) -- representing nearly 1100 active, retired and reserve Sacramento City Police Sergeants, Police Officers, Community Service Officers, and Communications Dispatchers.
Often, the Sacramento Police Officers Association is confused by the public as being the same as the Sacramento Police Department. While the two are distinctly different organizations when it comes to their Mission and goals, both constantly strive to provide the highest level of service to the community, as well as uphold a positive law enforcement image of our profession for all whom we come into contact with.
As you navigate our site, I know you will come to understand why I am proud to represent Sacramento's rank and file law enforcement professionals. We proudly advocate for our members' rights, negotiate a fair and equitable contract on their behalf, and ensure that their families are provided with the best fraternal services and benefits. We take care of them, so they can take care of you!
Everyday, our members hit the streets and report to their assignments with a commitment to keeping you and your family safe. Each one of us is dedicated to providing the residents of the City of Sacramento a quality of life in their community that they can live, work, and play in. Despite the dangers of our profession, we will be there when you call or need us!
On behalf of all of our members, thank you for your continuing support of the Sacramento Police Officers Association -- the finest law enforcement professionals in the State!
Fraternally,
Brent J. Meyer
