SPOA Memorial Scholarship Fund 2011 Community Application

Dear Community Member,
 
I am honored to announce that the 2011 SPOA Memorial Scholarship Fund applications have been released. 

In 2006 I created the fund to operate as a separate 501(c)(3) organization and the SPOA Board of Directors was kind enough to release their existing scholarship funds to the MSF to manage. Since that time, the SPOA MSF has grown substantially in both portfolio and award size; even in this tough economy.
 
It is important to recognize and thanks those members and partners of the organization that volunteer and donate during the year. The following individuals and groups have made an impact of positive consequence on the Memorial Scholarship Fund:

• Mastagni Law Firm (Donation of legal services & yearly monetary donation)
• Seaton & Seaton Accounting (Donation of accounting services)
• Exchange Bank (Donation of $10,000 to Gartrell Fund)
• Capital City Loan & Jewelry (Donation of $10,000 to Gartrell Fund)
• SVPOA (Yearly sponsorship of $500 award)
• Officer Sam Blackmon (Donation of profits from R.A.G.S & member events)
• SPOA & Kathy Brown (Donation of bookkeeping services)
 
Please click on the hyperlink below for the  application. Remember the community scholarships are for students living in, graduating from high school or attending/continuing college education in the City of Sacramento.  The deadline for filing is 5pm on April 8.  Postmarks will not be accepted.
